Edo State Governor, Okpebholo, has urged Nigerians to use the upcoming periods of Ramadan and Lent to pray for peace, unity, and national prosperity. Speaking in Benin City, the Governor emphasized that interfaith prayers provide an opportunity for citizens to collectively seek guidance and moral strength for the nation.
Governor Okpebholo called on religious and community leaders to organize safe and inclusive prayer gatherings, stressing that such initiatives can strengthen social cohesion and national solidarity.
“During Ramadan and Lent, let us all unite to pray for Nigeria,” the Governor said, highlighting the role of spiritual engagement in addressing the country’s challenges. He encouraged families and individuals to reflect, engage in acts of charity, and foster understanding among citizens of different faiths.
