Akwa Ibom Governor Says Decision Is Aimed At Sustaining ARISE Agenda And Ongoing Development Projects Across The State

Governor Umo Eno has announced the submission of his nomination form for the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.
The governor disclosed that the decision was informed by the need to sustain ongoing development initiatives and consolidate on the progress achieved under the ARISE Agenda in Akwa Ibom State.
According to him, the administration has recorded major milestones across sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, aviation, agriculture, tourism, education, and rural development within the last three years.
He noted that many of the projects initiated by his administration are still ongoing, emphasizing that continuity in governance would help ensure the successful completion and long-term impact of the programmes.
Governor Eno stated that the vision behind the projects is centered on improving the welfare of residents and expanding economic opportunities across the state.
He also expressed appreciation to the people of Akwa Ibom State for their support, prayers, and confidence in his administration since assuming office.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to serving the state with diligence, peace, and what he described as the fear of God, while promising to continue pursuing people-oriented policies.
Political observers say the submission of the nomination form signals the formal beginning of strategic political activities ahead of the 2027 electoral cycle in the state.
