The British-Nigerian businessman and influencer died at 43 after undergoing a cosmetic procedure in Bangkok, with a UK coroner linking his death to a fatal pulmonary embolism.

British-Nigerian businessman and social media influencer Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, also known online as Denisi or Ego, has died at the age of 43 following complications from a cosmetic procedure he underwent during a trip to Thailand.
Details of his death emerged from an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court, where evidence linked the fatal medical complication to a penile enlargement procedure carried out at an unnamed clinic in Bangkok.
According to evidence presented at the inquest, Ubiribo received an injection containing about 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine during the procedure in March 2026. He had travelled to Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen.
After the procedure, Ubiribo and his wife reportedly returned to their hotel before later going for a massage. During the outing, he complained of chest pain and reportedly lost consciousness twice, prompting an emergency response.
He was subsequently taken to Sukhumvit Hospital, where medical personnel treated his deteriorating condition. Doctors suspected a pulmonary embolism, but Ubiribo lost consciousness before a recommended CT scan could be completed. Medical staff reportedly carried out CPR for more than 100 minutes in an attempt to save his life.
A postmortem examination later provided evidence that material consistent with the filler used during the procedure was present in his lungs. Coroner Jean Harkin subsequently concluded that Ubiribo died from a pulmonary embolism associated with the cosmetic treatment.
Ubiribo was known for his luxury lifestyle and substantial social-media presence, with reports putting his Instagram following at approximately 185,000. He was also known within British-Nigerian social and entertainment circles and was associated with prominent figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Following his death, Ubiribo was buried in London. Reports said his funeral featured a gold coffin reportedly valued at more than $745,000, a detail that attracted further public attention following the news of his death.
His death has generated renewed discussion about the potential dangers associated with elective cosmetic procedures, particularly injectable treatments. The circumstances have also brought attention to the importance of understanding possible medical complications before undergoing invasive or cosmetic procedures.
The case has attracted considerable attention in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and beyond because of Ubiribo’s public profile, his lifestyle and the unusual circumstances surrounding his death.
For now, the UK coroner’s findings provide the clearest official account of the circumstances surrounding his death, linking the fatal pulmonary embolism to the cosmetic procedure carried out in Thailand.
