Iran has stated that it has not requested a ceasefire and currently sees no reason to enter negotiations with the United States as the conflict involving Israel and American forces continues to intensify.

 

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, made the remarks during an interview with Wapcodehub9ja.com.ng News, saying Tehran had “never asked for a ceasefire” since the conflict escalated. According to him, Iran believes discussions with Washington are not justified under the current circumstances.

 

Araghchi explained that diplomatic talks had already been taking place before the latest military escalation began. He argued that continuing discussions now would be difficult because Iran was still engaged in negotiations when the conflict expanded into direct military confrontation.

 

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump previously stated that Iran had shown interest in reaching a deal to end the war but suggested that the terms being discussed were not acceptable from Washington’s perspective.

 

On the battlefield, the situation continues to develop rapidly. The Israeli military announced that it is expanding the scope of its strikes to include additional areas in western and central Iran. Military officials say the expansion is part of a broader campaign targeting strategic positions linked to the conflict.

 

Iranian forces have also continued to launch missiles toward Israeli territory, signaling that both sides remain engaged in active military operations. The exchanges have raised concerns about the possibility of further escalation across the region.

 

Residents in several cities across Iran have expressed fears about the long-term consequences of the war. Some citizens in the capital have warned that prolonged fighting could cause widespread destruction if hostilities continue at the current pace.

 

In Israel, emergency services reported fires in parts of Tel Aviv following an Iranian missile strike. Authorities are continuing to assess the impact while emergency responders work to contain the damage.
