Muslims across Nigeria have marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan with the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr, drawing large gatherings in cities and communities nationwide.
From the expansive prayer grounds in Kano, Ilorin, and Sokoto to major metropolitan centres such as Lagos and Abuja, thousands of worshippers gathered for the traditional two-rakat Eid prayers.
The celebrations followed weeks of fasting, prayer, and reflection observed during Ramadan, a period regarded by Muslims as a time for spiritual renewal, discipline, and acts of charity.
In various locations, Islamic leaders used the occasion to emphasize unity, peace, and continued devotion beyond the fasting period, urging faithful to uphold the values practiced during Ramadan in their daily lives.

Meanwhile, Bola Ahmed Tinubu joined other Muslim faithful in observing the Eid prayers at Dodan Barracks in Lagos. The President, who had returned to the country earlier in the day following a brief state visit to the United Kingdom, was accompanied by government officials during the prayer session.
Across the country, the Eid-el-Fitr celebration has continued with visits, charity, and community interactions, reflecting the spirit of sharing and togetherness associated with the occasion.
