Prominent activist Aisha Yesufu has announced her resignation from the African Democratic Congress and her decision to join the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), citing alignment with the leadership direction of Peter Obi.
In a statement, Yesufu described the coming days as critical to Nigeria’s future, noting that her decision was guided by a deeper understanding of the country’s political trajectory and the need for consistent leadership alignment.
She explained that her earlier support for Peter Obi informed her initial move to the ADC, but in order to remain consistent with that commitment, she has now chosen to continue her political engagement within the NDC.
