Women stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress gathered in Abuja on Monday, October 5, 2026, for a major mobilisation and empowerment summit led by First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

The Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit brought together APC women leaders, political stakeholders, professionals, entrepreneurs, community representatives and other participants from across the country.

The gathering formed part of the party’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, with discussions focused on women’s participation, grassroots mobilisation and empowerment initiatives.

The event, held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja, was organised through the Women Mobilisation Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

Reports from the event also highlighted various government empowerment programmes targeting women and other groups. However, specific claims circulating online that beneficiaries at Monday’s gathering received items including mini trucks, motorcycles and freezers could not be independently confirmed from the reports reviewed by Wapcodehub9ja LIVE News.

The Abuja gathering comes after other women-focused empowerment initiatives associated with the First Lady. Earlier programmes in 2026 have involved the distribution of items such as tricycles, sewing machines, grinding machines and freezers to beneficiaries.

The summit is expected to form part of the APC’s wider effort to strengthen its women-focused structures and grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 elections.
