Nollywood actress Adunni Ade is mourning the death of her mother, who passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, following a prolonged illness.
The actress announced the loss on Monday, October 19, in an emotional tribute shared on her official Instagram page, where she expressed grief over the death of her mother and offered prayers for her soul.
In her message, Ade wrote that her mother had returned to her Creator after a long battle with illness. She began the tribute with the Islamic expression, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” meaning that humanity belongs to Allah and will ultimately return to Him.
The actress said her late mother is survived by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones who will continue to cherish her memory. She also prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy, asking that her mother be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus.
