Nigerian businesswoman Bo Hair has released CCTV footage from a robbery at her Lagos residence, alleging that her former nanny may have assisted an intruder in gaining access to the property.
According to Bo Hair, the footage shows the nanny waking up at about 3 a.m. after receiving a message and subsequently moving toward a window to observe the surroundings while the alleged intruder was attempting to enter the property.
Bo said the nanny later went into a bathroom where there was no CCTV camera and allegedly made a phone call before returning to the window.
She further alleged that the nanny appeared to monitor the area around the gatekeeper’s room, raising questions about whether she was watching to ensure the security personnel did not wake up while the intruder was gaining access.
Bo also questioned why the nanny remained awake for an extended period and appeared to be waiting for someone before later sitting on a mat for more than 20 minutes.
The businesswoman said her suspicions grew after she and her husband reviewed the CCTV recordings following the robbery. She had previously said that she initially defended the nanny when police questioned members of her household because she trusted her.
The robbery occurred at Bo Hair’s Lagos home in December 2025. Earlier accounts from the businesswoman said an armed man entered the residence and stole cash, jewellery, watches and other valuables.
However, the allegation against the former nanny has not been established as a fact. A report published alongside the latest CCTV claims says the former nanny, identified as Lilian Okoro, has denied involvement and disputed aspects of the allegations against her.
The publicly circulated CCTV clips have generated renewed discussion about the robbery, but the complete footage and its full context have not been independently established through a public official investigation.
For now, Bo Hair’s claims remain allegations, while the former nanny’s reported denial presents a conflicting account of what happened.
